Exhibition Housing in Prague

Housing is not only a basic human need, but also a key element
of a city’s identity.

The exhibition, presents the development and current state of housing
in Prague from both a historical and contemporary perspective.
Held in the Mánes Exhibition Hall, it offers a comprehensive overview
of the transformations of housing from the establishment of Greater
Prague to visions for the city’s future development. Through archival
materials, models, and projects prepared by the city and its districts,
the exhibition opens up a discussion on the form of housing in Prague.

 

OPERA PRAGENSIA AWARD 2026

We are creating a city that helps.

The fourth edition of the City of Prague Opera Pragensia Award 2026
focuses on social infrastructure – architecture, urban planning,
and personalities that have long contributed to improving the quality
of life in Prague. The award will recognize projects and approaches
that support accessible healthcare, educational, social, community,
and cultural services, as well as social cohesion and dignified
conditions for the everyday life of residents. This edition emphasizes
the social contribution of architecture and personal responsibility
in creating an open, supportive, and cohesive city.

 

Publication Modern Architecture of Slovakia

Modern Architecture of Slovakia

The publication presents an overview of the development of modern
architecture in Slovakia from 1900 to the present day. It maps
buildings and personalities that reflect the social, cultural,
and technical changes of their time and have shaped the architectural
character of Slovak cities and landscapes. This representative and
visually compelling volume will offer concise profiles of architects,
a selection of the most significant works, and rich visual documentation.

 

Architectura Danubii Awards

ARCHITECTURA DANUBII

An award dedicated to outstanding personalities of Slovak architecture,
urban planning, and cultural heritage care. The award pays tribute
to architects and experts who, through their lifelong work, contribute
to the development of architectural culture, public space, and the
aesthetic quality of Slovakia. It highlights their professional, creative,
and social contribution and presents architecture as a public service
that shapes cities, landscapes, and the cultural memory of the country.
