Professional Conference “Contemporary Architecture in a Historical Context – Management of the Historical Urban Landscape”

Motto: Architecture and Heritage Protection as Bridges between the Past and Present: Innovation and Preservation in Urban Architecture

The professional conference will take place in the Knights’ Hall of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The event will be attended by representatives of UNESCO and ICOMOS, domestic and international architects, and experts on monument protection and architectural heritage. Their task will be to discuss issues related to the implementation of contemporary architecture into historical areas of cities, through the analysis of new concepts of cultural heritage and their adaptability, the relationship between urban landscape and time, the form and function of architecture, and urban economics.

It is not coincidence that Vienna, with its vast experience in this area, is the guest city on this occasion. Both cities are connected not only by historical roots but also by a common commitment to creating modern and sustainable urban spaces. This meeting of two significant European cities creates an inspiring platform for sharing experiences and mutual enrichment.
