ARCHITECTURE WEEK 2007
Architecture Week should become, as it has become in England and in the metropolises of Europe, an annual public celebration of modern and contemporary world architecture in Prague and in the Czech Republic. AW’s aim would be the presentation of architecture and living environment to both professional and non-professional public in an engaging way via various events, activities and presentations. Based mainly on personal impressions, enjoyment and experience, the project should encourage interest in architecture and our living environment. The event should also support further urban development of the city of Prague in a complex manner, to promote Czech architecture as well as to acquaint the public with the visions of future development and planning.

1. Aims of the Project
To bring architecture closer to the public through culture and art, architecture walks, discussions, and visits of usually inapproachable sites, architectural studios, talks, film projections or presentations of foreign architecture. The project will be an opportunity for people of all ages to discover, have fun and learn about modern and contemporary architecture.

2. Target Group
Anyone ranking among the professional and non-professional public interested in architecture and design, young people, prospective students, architects and designers from the architectural domaine, the designers of both exteriors and interiors, students of architecture and design both at Secondary Schools and at Universities, especially CVUT in Prague, VUT in Brno, TU in Liberec, VSUP in Prague and Zlín and UK in Prague, the professional press and the media.
